There's a kind of rush....
There are 22 million Filipinos living in Metro Manila.
The 30-40% of population is the workforce, that is roughly 6.6-8.8 million Filipinos.
If 30% of the workforce travel or commutes from home to work that is 2.64 million workers.
If those workers will ride or commute that will be a total of:
*440,000 tricycles every day and if lined up it will be 440km long.
*132,000 jeepneys every day and if lined up it will be 396km long.
*44,000 buses every day and if lined up it will be 440km long
*528 trains every day and if lined up it will be 26.4 km long.
Imagine the congestion it will make when tricycles, jeepneys, and buses combined. It will be an orchestra of traffic, stress, and loss time.
People and our leaders should think a more effective way of public transport - the advanced interconnected metro rail system.
Business districts should be a walking district free of jeepneys and buses to ease the traffic.
